Some of the Bars and Pubs in Taiwan are as follows-
The Tavern- one of the best pubs in Taipei, The Tavern was opened in 2000.
For years it has remained a favorite place among the Taiwanese after a hard
day at work. The music does not push you towards any impairment and the ambience
is relaxed. The Tavern is a nice place to let your drink flow into smooth conversations.
Address: 415, XinYi Rd., sec. 4.
Carnegies- has schemes such as Wednesday being Ladies Night Out, when women
drink champagne for free. On special days there is a Happy Hour between 11.30
am and 9 pm. Carnegies is frequented by some heavy drinkers of the day.
Address: 100, Sec. 2, AnHe Rd.
My Other Place- provides a wonderfully relaxed ambience. The pub is crowded
on most days with locals and foreign nationals. The look of the My Other Place
is extremely English, which is explained by the fact that it has an English
owner.
Address: 303, FuXing North Road.
Blue Note- The name of the bar explains the owner's passion for jazz. Though
not the most spacious bars around, Blue Note makes up for its spatial lacking
by creating a vast auditory space. There is some wonderful live music from Tuesday
to Saturday from 9/30 onwards.
Address- 171, Roosevelt Road, Sec. 3, 4F.
