Kamthieng House (The Siam Society), Bangkok is the headquarters of the Siam Society in Bangkok. This society looks after promotion and preservation of thai heritage ,art, culture, nature, wildlife through study trips, discourses, museums, exhibition as well as published materials

The Kamthieng House ,160 years old stands on the grounds of the Siam Society Bangkok . The house of the rice farmer made of teak wood and transported from the Chiang Mai's Ping River stands now as Kamthieng House (The Siam Society), Bangkok.This house of 19 th century was of ethnological and artistic value.

You will find here many agricultural and daily use items like woven fish baskets, terra-cotta pots, fish traps, ploughs , rice harvesting tools made of wood,reeds and bamboo are on display. Also there is a depiction of Chao Vieng or city dwellers of the northern Lanna , which you will find quite unique.

The Kamtheing House in Bangkok is perfect example of Northern Thai architecture and the house stands on wooden stilts .

Here at Kamthieng House (The Siam Society), Bangkok sometimes private functions are allowed to be held in the gardens and the grounds of the Siam Society with the Kamthieng House providing a scenic backdrop.
