Ancient City
Ancient City, Bangkok is an outdoor theme park. Located on the old Sukhumvit Highway, this park covers an area of 320 acres of land. The Ancient City has replicas of important landmarks located in and around Thailand. This theme park is also the largest outdoor museum in the world. It is just 1 hour drive from Bangkok.

Ancient City (Muang Boran), Bangkok aims to protect the rich cultural heritage of Thailand. The park has replicas of significant buildings and historical places.

One of the major attractions of Ancient City is the Wat, the wooden temple. The temple boasts of carved decor. These wooden temples are mostly seen in Northern Thailand. Typical Thai houses are also seen in this park. Some of the other attractions of Ancient City include the Grand Palace of Ayutthaya and the Phimai Sanctuary in Nakhon Ratchasima, Wat Khao Phra Viharn, Wat Arun, the Northern Thai Hamlet, the Sanphet Prasat Palace and a floating market.

How to reach Ancient City

Ancient City is well-connected by transportation. Buses regularly run between Bangkok and Ancient city. One can catch air-conditioned bus number 511 from Southern Bus Terminal-Paknam. 36 mini-buses take you to the main gate of Ancient City. Taxis also ply to Ancient City and Bangkok. Suwananbhumi Airport is approx 40 minutes from the Ancient city.

Admission Fee:

Entrance fee is 100 Baht for adults and50 Baht for children. If you drive your own car you will have to pay an additional price of 50 Baht

Opening Hours of Ancient City, Bangkok:

Ancient City (Muang Boran) is open from 8am to 5pm on all the days of a week.
