Bangkok which is officially known as Krung Thep is the capital city of Thailand. It is also the largest city of Thailand. It is actually the foreigners who know the city by its name Bangkok. Bangkok is the wealthiest and the most populated city of Thailand. It is also the 22 nd most populated city in the world. An economically rich country, Bangkok attracts too many travelers across the world every year for its tourist attractions. In Bangkok there are several tourist places which are famous throughout the world. Among many such tourist sites, Sukhumvit is one of the most well known. Bangkok Sukhumvit incorporates the nightlife areas of Soi Cowboy and Nana Entertainment Plaza and many of the city's best shops are found in this immediate area. Shopping is perhaps the best in Bangkok city and there is a number of top class restaurants right through the surrounding area. This is a famous place due to its popularity as a very happening place for entertainment, shopping and even putting up. There are also many hotels and resorts here which offers a very luxurious accommodation, mouth watering dining and a wonderful holiday experience altogether. It was once dishonorable for its traffic jamming, but the situation has improved with the introduction of the Bangkok skytrain and new expressway connections.
