Baan Klang Nam Restaurant is situated at Rama III Road and claims to be one of Bangkok's finest seafood restaurants. This pretty teak house sits right on the Chao Phraya River overlooking the enormous Rama IX Cable stayed bridge. It is famous for its BBQ Crabs and curry's lobsters and oysters. It serves you excellent Thai cuisines in a friendly cozy informal ambience. This restaurant is in a big house and terrace upstream from the Hanging Bridge, so you'll need a taxi or perhaps a tuk-tuk to reach here. Order for mee krob (pan-fried rice noodles) and taste the real authentic Thai dish The fried sea bass in garlic and pepper and the snapper in oyster sauce are superb, as is the smooth tom yam kung (hot-and-sour shrimp soup). A visit would not be complete without savoring the fried crab with black pepper. Needless to say, fish is in abundance. Try steamed goby with soysauce, perfectly fresh and juicy. Meat lovers will also enjoy fried ostrich with black pepper and baked goose legs with noodles. The menu also extends to exotic sounding snakehead fish, duck's tongue soup and goosewebs. A restricted dessert menu includes sticky rice with mango. You can also go for the wide collection of wines. The staffs are extremely friendly and generous.
