Chiang Dao Cave Chiang Mai

Chiang Dao Cave Chiang Mai is one of the top-rated tourist attractions in Thailand. This cave extends around twelve kilometers in Doi Chiang Dao Mountain.
Only experienced trekkers should venture in Chiang Dao Cave, Chiang Mai beyond the five areas which are Tham Maa, Tham Kaew, Tham Phra Nawn, Tham Seua Dao, and Tham Naam. Every year this cave attracts many tourists to the city leading to the growth of tourism in Thailand.
Chiang Dao Cave, Chiang Mai features beautiful crystal formations which have formed due to dripping water. The air inside the caves is most of the times cool but during some seasons it can be extremely humid inside.
Chiang Dao Cave, Chiang Mai is safe to travel. You can also hire guides who help tourists to guide them through the caves. If you don't want to hire a guide them you can visit the two main caves namely Tham Phra Nawn and Tham Seua Dao, they have adequate lighting arrangement. The caves contain a numerous sacred Buddha images. But never go into the un-illuminated caverns without a guide as there are several unmarked drops.
A word of advice to all Chiang Dao Cave visitors uses the handrails, never remove anything from the cave, watch your head and keep children close to you all the times.
Admission fee:
The admission fee to Chiang Dao Cave, Chiang Mai is only 10 Baht but if you hire a guide it will cost you 100 Baht more.

The Chiang Dao is located at a distance of about 1 hour driveway from Chiang Mai. From Chiang Mai and Songtaews you can make plans to tour this cave.
