The “Radical Bay 8000” is one such boat that is used in this event. Competition is tough as each of the racers is keen on defeating their opponents. A sailing company called Coco Sailing mainly sponsors this event. The Samui Regatta in Ko Samui is a weeklong event. Each racer has to compete in five categories, which include racing, cruising, sports boats, multihulls and beach cats. Around 230 participants from all across the globe participate in this race. Chewang Bay, Maenam Beach and the Bophut Beach serve as a venue for this racing event. A large number of people come to see this sailing competition. After the event cocktail parties are also organized. The Samui Regatta, Ko Samui is a fun filled and exciting event held in this tropical island. It is extremely famous not only amongst the locals but also amongst the tourists of this island.
