There are plenty of shopping areas in every part of Ko Samui island and the major shopping areas at Chaweng, Nathon, Lamai and Maenam offer extensive shopping options.
The Nathon Shopping area, Ko Samui , is one of the main shopping centers of the island because this is the place where the ferries and buses arrive, the head offices of the banks and local government are located, and where many shops, supermarkets, and small Thai restaurants are placed. Visit Nathon to do some real shopping at very low prices. Various shops and stalls are spread on the two main roads at Nathon and they sell silk goods, shoes, souvenirs, electronic and household appliances and excellent copies. The area is ideal for daytime shopping because most of the stores are open all day.
Visit the ‘ Art Café and Shop' which sells some of the best ceramic kitchenware in Samui. A beautiful collection of hand-painted plates, bowls and mugs are available here.
