Recorded history designates the city of Krabi as part of Ligor Kingdom. Subject to King Rama the Fifth, Krabi was under the sole control of a governor. Along with watching the museums, you can also plod the streets and stroll the beaches along the Andaman Sea.
The Wat Khlong Thom Museum, on Phetchakasem Highway, in Krabi exhibits relics excavated from a bead mound. These are bronze tools, stone and clay animals, stone tools and beads. With all the sandstone on the islet, there's got to be fossils. The fossils are found within the confines of Hat Nopharat National Park. This is a Fossil Cemetery and nearby Fossil Museum, displaying fossils and narrating the history of the area.
Apart from visiting the museums as well as watching the national parks, you
can also avail yourself of the opportunities to deep dive or shallow snorkel
