Hat Noppharat Beach

Thailand - Bangkok - Chiang Mai - Koh Samui Island - Krabi - Pattaya - Phuket

Hat Noppharat Beach, Krabi is located about18 km west of Krabi town along Nai Muang-Nai Sa Road, just next to Ao Nang. This scenic quiet beach lies within the Hat Noppharat Thara-Ko Phi Phi National Park and features a 3-kilometer long sandy stretch lined by casuarina trees.

It is a rugged island, about 1 km from the mainland and can be reached by foot at low tide. Those not too keen to walk can take minibuses that leave the town to the beach daily from 6.00-17.00 hrs. The Hat Noppharat Beach is a popular picnic spot for the locals and the visitors alike who can come here and enjoy a laid-back day, eating, swimming and lazing in the sun.

You can also take along a hammock and catch a nap after swimming in the natural shade provided by the trees on the beach. Only a few people know about this place and hence unlike most of Krabi's beaches, you won't find miles of deckchairs and beach umbrellas, so buy a beach mat and find a perfect spot.

Many visitors enjoy walking from the beach across to Koh Kao Pak Klong island in the bay during low tide. The nightlife in Hat Noppharat Beach is fairly quiet with only a few bar beers and a live band that is available at the very beginning of the beach.
