- This Park is one of the wettest places in Thailand and receives more than 3500mm of rain every year.
- The Khao Sok National Park sustains some of the most rare animal species including clouded leopard, tiger, marbled cat, Rusa's barking deer, banded civet, Gurney's pitta, Storm's stork and Sumartan rhino.
- The plant life of this park is equally varied and interesting. There is Rafflesis kerri meijer that is one of the rarest plants in the world. The flower of this plant is the largest in the world and grows to almost one meter in diameter. Also, the Park features two kinds of palms among which Palm Langkow is the most endangered palm species.
- There are plenty of limestone crags that add to the haunting and mysterious beauty of the place.
- The Park has many beautiful waterfalls and streams that are ideal for canoeing.
- Find an interesting collection of birds that include woodpecker, swift, kingfisher and hornbill.
- The Park offers elephant riding and canoeing facilities.
- You can also go for overnight treks into the depths of the forest.
- The Cheow Lan Lake is also a favorite with the tourists. This lake was formed by the construction of the Ratchaprapa dam in 1986. The Cheow Lan Lake consists of 100 islands.
Accommodation: You can accommodate yourself in any of the 8 bungalows that the Khao Sok National Park possesses. There are also a few guesthouses in the Park. If you are the more adventurous and romantic kind, spend your night on the raft houses built on the Cheow Lan Lake.

- Wear sturdy non-slip shoes and comfortable clothes. Carry extra clothes or a raincoat as the place is known for the intense rainfall it receives throughout the year.
- Don't forget to bring insect repellent.
- To capture the beautiful moment, you must remember to bring your camera along.
