The Sam Roi Yot National Park is in a limestone area and there are several limestone hills.
The freshwater marsh contributes to the ecological significance of the Park.
The Sam Roi Yot National Park has some wonderful mountain viewpoints like the Khao Daeng viewpoint that is a thirty minutes climb up a steep walkway.
The Sam Phraya beach makes the Park popular among tourists. The beach also offers a restaurant and a washroom. Laem sala Beach is equally famous for its beauty. The beach is guarded on three sides by Limestone Mountains. You will find restaurants, Bungalows, picnic shelters and washrooms on the Beach.
There are also attractive caves in the Sam Roi Yot National Park that are worth visiting. You must nit miss out the Phraya Nakhon Cave which were originally to large sinkholes and it gained its present form when the roof of the sinkholes collapsed.
You can also hire a boat in Khao Daeng village for a tour of the entire island. The best time for a boat trip is early morning and late afternoon. The boatride takes around two hours.
The Park serves as the abode of more than 300 species of birds.
There are also the wild dusky langurs, serow, crab eating macaque and the slow Lorris and you are guaranteed a gimpse of the spectacled langurs on your visit. Other mammals include grey-bellied squirrels, barking deers, fishing cats and Siamese hares. If you are lucky, you may also get to see some dolphins in the coastal waters.
A visitor center is located near the Park Headquarter and is the center of all educational programs that take place in the Park.
