The Similian islands in Thailand are beautiful. They are actually a collection of small islets and covered in granite jungles and touched by a clear blue ocean with a motley number of islands and beaches. The islands are located at the southern tip of Ko Miang and recently the islands have become a national park. The Thai Law maintains the park. The Similian Archipelago National Park maintains their status on two islands - Koh Similian and Koh Miang. However the park is a very attractive tourist destination because of the growing popularity of the Scuba diving game. The details of the park are as follows: The park is located 90 kilometers from the Patong Beach. The Similian Archipelago National Park is famous for its diving site in the area and is actually a fascinating and staggering number of seven-mile long archipelagos consisting of nine granite islands in the Andaman Ocean. The diving sites are located near movie locales with tropical rainforests, sand beaches and bays. Entry costs vary from US $20 and can go up to any price. There is a cost for carrying equipments and torches. However costs do not include meals and accommodations. Costs however do include those of alcohol, diving trips and other miscellaneous costs. Accommodation needs to be arranged in advance. Thus all those wanting a trip can come here and explore nature reveal its many colors.
