Among the many sporting events in Pattaya, Golf is far more popular among its residents as well as the tourists who visit Pattaya. Pattaya is a golf player’s paradise. Its sprawling courses of international standards are reason enough for many people to come from all over the world to play golf at a much lower cost. There are 20 golf courses in Pattaya.

Both international and domestic tournaments are held here. At a low season around 300 baht are charged while best courses charge around 1000 to 2000 baht. Golf in Pattaya is often seen as great tourist entertainment.

Visitors and expatriates living in Pattaya can play golf by joining the International Pattaya Golf Club. One can join the International Pattaya Golf Club through the Pattaya Golf Society. A membership fee of 200 baht for 2 years, along with photo identity, is the requirement to play the tournaments twice weekly in the different courses in the area.

Golfers can also enjoy golfing near the resort and a small golf course at Asia Hotel. Equipments such as clubs, shoes can be rented and where green and candy fees are reasonable too. During weekdays very few golf courses are required to be booked in advance.
