Koh Larn Island is the most popular coastline in Thailand. Koh Larn Island Pattaya is also better known as Coral Island. Koh Larn Island got its name as the Coral Island, as popularized by the foreign tourists. Koh Larn Island possesses such name by virtue of its abundance and variety of corals. Koh Larn is situated at about 7.5 km away from Pattaya City it occupies an area of 3,500 rai with an irregular pentagon shape. Its length stretching from North to South is approximately 4.65 km. Koh Larn Island consists of minor islands namely Koh Khrok (mortar) and Koh Sak (pestle). It is a sought-after island for tourists who love coral snorkeling. Sheer white sandy beaches and cerulean blue sea at the Coral Beach creates an image of Andaman Sea. Koh Larn Island, lies very close to Pattaya and houses more than 5,000 tourists daily. 90% of the total area is mountainous situated in the forest with a bountiful variety of trees.

You can take a speedboat ride of 15- 20 minutes to reach Koh Larn. Tourists will enjoy the ride across the sea and the witness the beauty of the glistening waters. Every boat is provided with ample life jackets for safety. The fare to travel to Coral Island is about 1,500 - 2,000 Baht/day. A tourist or any traveler can take a Passenger boat as well which begins to sail off at 0800 hours to and fro. It operates every two hours and takes about 45 minutes to travel to the Coral Islands or come back from there. The last boat from Pattaya to Koh Larn departs at 18:30 while the last boat from Koh Larn departs at 1800 hours. The fare in this case is 20 Baht/person per ride.
