Pattaya Marathon

Pattaya’s social life always sets example for many as it effuses a sense of joy and gaiety around. Apart from its traditional festivals, the people of Pattaya are enthusiastic about organizing social events that invite the residents to participate whole-heartedly. Sports are a favorite form of recreation among the Pattayans and sports-related annual events are a prominent feature in Pattaya. Known for water sports, Pattaya is not far behind in other sports too. Pattaya Marathon is one such event that is attended by all. Pattaya’s Marathon course is one of the toughest as it runs along hill terrains thus making it unsuitable for the weak hearted. The course follows along the scenic beach adding to the excitement of the event.

Pattaya is a tourist center with the region’s exotic beach resort attracting tourists all over the globe and houses some of the facilities of international standards thus making it favorite among them. Its picturesque running course is probably the best in the South East Asia that holds the annual international event ”Pattaya Marathon”. Half-marathon and Quarter Marathon are other marathon events in Pattaya that encourages participation from international standard runners and locals.

Many sport enthusiasts from different corners of the world make it to visit Pattaya at this time of the year. The event is generally held in the month of July.
