Karon Beach Phuket

Karon Beach in Phuket is comprises of three main areas. At the south end is the Karon Plaza area, where there are several economy guesthouses, restaurants and bars. You can explore the little art community, where some budding Thai painters have built a complex of huts, pubs and art galleries. They live and work here. Nearby, on the beach road leading to Kata, is the newly opened football stadium. It hosts local as well as international sporting events.

At the heart of Karon Beach in Phuket is the extensive ground of Thavorn Palm Beach Resort and the Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa. Located north of these is Aroona Plaza, home to a variety of fine handicraft shops, good restaurants and cafes, a few bars and a hotel modeled after the Sino-Portuguese architecture of Old Phuket.

The north end of Karon Beach in Phuket features the Karon Circle , which has sculptures of workers commemorating Phuket's tin-mining and agricultural past. Walking down the busy Patak East Road you will come across a number of bars, restaurants, shops and small hotels.

There are no big-name restaurants and fast food chains in Karon Beach , but dining options are plenty. The restaurants of the larger resorts offer elegant settings and great food, while the streets are crowded with an array of seafood, Thai and Western restaurants. As for accommodation, you can opt for anything from friendly hostels to large international hotels.
