Located 15 minutes east of Phuket , Thailand , Khai Island comprises of two islands, Koh Khai Nok and Koh Khai Nai. Renowned for the beautiful rocks, corals, and isolated beaches, Khai Nok is a pretty little island. Khai Nai Island is famous for snorkeling. Half of the Khai Island in Phuket is covered with lush green hills, while the rest is comprises of the silvery beach. More than 100 beach chairs are planted on this beach. The emerald green water that encircles Khai Nok is ideal for swimming, and if you are fortunate, you may chance upon seeing a group of dolphins swimming here. However, at all times you can witness small tropical fish swimming in this shallow crystal clear water, waiting to be fed by the tourists. Midway between Khai Nok and the tiny Khai Nai Island is a shallow water coral reef, perfect for snorkeling, even when the current is strong. Khai Island in Phuket can be reached from Koh Sirey, Laem Hin Pier and Chalong Bay in Phuket by hiring a boat or by contacting tour operator. Though there is a restaurant on Khai Island in Phuket, there are no accommodation facilities as the island is too small.
