Transportation in Pattaya

Pattaya is divided into five important zones, Pattaya Naklua, North Pattaya ( locally called Pattaya Nua ), Central Pattaya ( Pattaya Klang ),South Pattaya ( Pattaya Tai ) and Jomtein. There are three main roads called Beach road, Second road and Third road connect to each other.There are Baht Bus or Thai peple call Song-Thaew runs around Pattaya.The fare range from 10 to 30 per person depending on distance. There are also innumerable taxi, motor bike taxis,limousine etc.In another way you can rent your own motorbike, car, or jeep drive around pattaya.In addition you want to go to some island near by you can go to travel agencies they can provide you long tail boats or speed boat.

How to Reach Pattaya

Pattaya is located along the East Coast of the Gulf of Thailand approximately 160 km south east of Bangkok. There are many options to reach pattaya.It's about two hours drive from Bangkok.From Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport you can take air-conditioned bus that cost around 106 baht or taxi that cost around 1,000 - 1,500 baht directly from airport to pattaya. There are also regular bus depart from Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai Bus Terminal), Northern Bus Terminal (Mochit Bus Terminal) and New Southern Bus Terminal.( Sai Tai Mai ) throughout the day.
