How to Reach Phuket: There are international and domestic flights to Phuket everyday.Phuket Airport is 40kilometers away from Patong Beach and is actually a 45minute taxi drive.Buses run daily from Bangkok to Phuket.You can get the bus at The New Southern Bus Terminal.There are many companies at the terminal.The bus fare starts from 500 to 1,000 baht one way.It will take around 12 hours.If you choose to reach Phuket by train there is no train go straight to Phuket.You could take the train to Surat Thani then take the bus from Surat Thani to Phuket.In case you start from Bangkok you have to take the train from Hua Lum Pong train station and get off at surat Thani then transfer by bus from Surat Thani to Phuket taking around 3 hours.
