One of the main rivers of Thailand, Chao Phraya River covers a total distance of 372 kilometers before submerging into the Gulf Of Thailand. Beginning in Nakhon Sawan province, the river starts at the meeting point of Nan and Ping River.
Often termed as the "River of Kings", Chao Phraya River supports diverse activities throughout its entire course.

Some important activities that takes place on Chao Phraya River:
Irrigating one of the world's largest fruit and rice producing areas, this river makes the central plains of Thailand very fertile with its rich alluvial soil.
Besides sustaining the agricultural land it is also a great means of trade and commerce.
