Features of Khao Luang Cave:
The cave has concrete staircases from the foothills leading to the cave entrance.
It houses the beautiful, ornamented image of Buddha, cast by command of King Chulalongkan and dedicated to the kings Rama III and IV.
The cave has 170 Buddha statues altogether.
This cave was used by royal families for picnics since the time of King Rama IV.
Huge stalactites hang from the walls of the cave.
There is also a large monastery called Wat Bunthawi with beautiful carved doors, at the foothills on Khao Luang Access Road.
Khao Luang Cave, Hua Hin is situated on the tiny, 92 m high Khao Luang Hill. It is 5 km from Khao Wang in the province of Hua Hin, a coastal town on the Gulf of Thailand.
