Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo
Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Bangkok was established in 1950 by the crocodile-loving Utai Youngprapakorn for the preservation of crocodile species. It is currently one of the world's largest crocodile centers and popular with kiddies and adults alike!

At The Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm, you get to see:

More than 60,000 fresh and seawater crocodiles of 28 species, some of them rare ones

The largest crocodile in captivity, Yai, measuring 6m and weighing 114.27 kg!

Daring crocodile wrestling shows every hour, acrobatic elephant shows etc.

A gift shop where you can buy exotic crocodile skin products

Attractions at the Zoo include:

Trained animals like gibbons, lions, elephants and even snakes!

A Dinosaur Museum with life-size exhibits showing 13 different species of dinosaurs and skeletons, plus an audio-visual show narrating stories of animals those are now extinct.

Covered bridges and shaded cool walkways

There are electronic games, a playground and train rides for the kiddies too!


The Crocodile Farm and Zoo lies 30 km south from Bangkok in Samut Prakarn District and is easily accessible by bus or taxi. Alternatively you could take a guided tour with a tour operator. For adults, the rate 300 Baht and for children, 200 Baht. The center is open 7 am - 6 pm every day.
