Suan Mokhaphalaram Temple
Founded by Thailand's famous monk Ajarn Bhikkhu Buddhadhasa in 1959, Suan Mokhaphalaram Temple professes a strong historical background. Also known as the "Garden of Liberation" this it is a place for meditation and relaxation. Amidst calm and beautiful setting of a forest, you can truly find your spiritual self here.

The Suan Mokhaphalaram Temple is dedicated to the pure and unorthodox teachings of Bhikkhu Buddhadhasa, who stripped Buddhism of all its magical and mystical elements, bringing it to the initial basics. One of the best and most interesting features of the temple is its 'Spiritual Theatre' that is in actual terms an interpretation of Dharma. Besides this, there are innumerable sculptures inched out in various international styles.

Though there are very many ways to reach the Suan Mokhaphalaram Temple, the easiest way to get there is by a Singtaew. You can also take a taxi or simply drive down the highway.

To enter the Suan Mokhaphalaram Temple you will have to pay an entrance fee and can also make some donations at your discretion. The temple is sure to captivate you with its simplistic teachings and peaceful setting. This temple surely calls for a rejuvenating visit.

The temple lies 50 kilometers from Surathani on Highway number 41
