On weekdays the market opens in the morning, while on Sundays and holidays it opens at 3:00 .m. The products arrive over here by ship, trucks and planes from all across the world. The auctions houses start their operation from 5:00 a.m. The wholesalers and buyers first inspect the fishes and then the auction starts. Visitors are not allowed to see the auction, unless they obtain a special permit for the same. Visitors are not allowed to carry large bags over here, as it tends to obstruct the operations over here. The best time to visit this place is during the morning hours, before 9:00 a.m. One can get to Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo by taking a train to Tsukijishijo Station on the Oedo line subway.
