And the founder of Zojoji was Shoso. Actually a disciple of Kukai named Shuei established a temple named Komyoji at Kaizuka; this temple is said to be the precursor of Zojoji. After centuries, during the Muromachi period in 1393, at the time of Yuyo Shoso, the temple transformed from the Shingon to the Jodo sect. Shoso is therefore, regarded as the founder of the present-day temple. Along with the discussion on Shiba Park as well as Zojoji Temple, the issue of Tokyo Tower comes automatically.
