KISHOSAIKAN

Japan - Fukuoka - Kobe - Nagoya - Tokyo - Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Yokohama
Kishosaikan is a very popular Chinese restaurant present in the city of Tokyo. This restaurant specializes in Beijing cuisine. It's an excellent restaurant to dine out but the only problem is that this restaurant is very difficult to spot. The restaurant is located near the Kichijoji Station.

The operating hours of Kishosaikan is from 11.00 am in the morning till 10.00 pm in the evening from Monday to Sunday. The approximate price of the dishes served in Kishosaikan is around ¥ 2000.

Kishosaikan is a Beijing style restaurant and serves Beijing cuisine dishes. Some times it's also referred to as Peking style cuisine as well. This cuisine is followed in Beijing, which is the capital city of China. The typical aspect of Beijing cuisine is the fact that it has been influenced a lot by the other regions of China. This has created a major problem of ascertaining the proper inception of many dishes of this cuisine. Hence due to this reason Beijing cuisine is also officially known as Mandarin cuisine as that reflects the other regions of China as well along with Beijing. Among all the cuisines that have influenced Beijing or Mandarin cuisine, Shandong cuisine had played the major role. However, in turn the Beijing or Mandarin cuisine has also influenced quite a few cuisines as well. The foremost examples will be the Chinese Imperial cuisine, Liaoning cuisine etc. Beijing or Mandarin cuisine mostly deals with snacks and hardly with full course meals. Frying of all kinds is the most commonly used technique of cooking in Beijing or Mandarin cuisine.

Some of the popular Mandarin dishes are Mutton Hotpot, Chinese "Fajitas", Peking Duck, Sweetened Vinegar Spareribs etc.

The added bonanza that Kishosaikan offers is that the master of this restaurant also plays three traditional chinese instruments and if one is lucky then one might have the pleasure of witnessing a recital while having dinner.

Shopping is the next best thing that can be performed after dining in this excellent Chinese restaurant in Tokyo. There are numerous shopping malls in Tokyo and shopping of different items or goods can be performed here.
