Al Ain National Museum in Abu Dhabi demonstrates the remote past of the UAE. The
museum also gives an account o the more recent history of the country. The museum
has two sections including Archaeological and Ethnographical, which displays the
past history of the UAE. The museum also houses a small gift section.
Al Ain National Museum is located adjacent to the Al Hosn Palace. The ethnographical
section of the Al Ain National Museum displays the daily life of the people
of the region. The exhibits include reconstruction of traditional majilis and
traditional life of the people. The various things that can be seen at this
part of the museum include garments, household items, utensils, gold and silver
jewelry, and other local this that shows the customs and traditions.
The archaeological section of the Al Ain National Museum, on the other hand,
includes discoveries that date back to the Bronze and Iron ages. The various
things that can be seen here are pendants, important coin collection, fabrics,
textiles, costumes, jewel, diamonds and o on.
Al Ain National Museum opens every day except Saturdays. The Museum opens from
9 am to 7:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays, it opens from 3 pm to 7:30
