Museums and Art galleries in Dubai

The Dubai Museum appears in most lists of major tourist attractions of Dubai. The Al Fahidi Fort, which was built around 1787 to defend the city against invasion, was renovated in 1971 to houses the Dubai Museum. Through its diverse collection of exhibits one can understand the culture and heritage of the emirate. The origin of some of the artifacts date back to 6th century A.D.
