Think about any geographic structure you want to visit: island, beach, hill,
anything - Dubai will have an exact artificial replica of the feature. Like
Palm Islands, Jumeirah Beach is an artificial beach along the Jumeirah strip.
The pristine waters, in sharp contrast to the dryness of the desert, are capable
of rejuvenating your mind and body in a few hours time.
Located at the southern part of Dubai, Jumeirah is along the Arabian Sea down
below Bur Dubai. Jumeirah is considered to be the most closely settled residential
area in Dubai. Move about 10 to 15 km southwest along the cord-straight from
the Dubai City Center, and we reach one of the attractive sand beaches of Dubai
- Jumeirah Beach. Jumeirah is also considered the most expensive residential
area of Dubai. The indigenous inhabitants of Jumeirah were native fishermen.
Jumeirah was their homeland until a few decades ago. However, after the world
discovered the mesmerizing beauty once hidden along the sands, Jumeirah witnessed
a vast development. Rich private bungalows, resorts, spas, and beach hotels
mushroomed in this area in a short span of time. Many rich migrant workers also
own buildings and bungalows in Jumeirah. For Dubai bound tourists, Jumeirah
is an attractive vacation destination.
Though Burj aluminium Arab which belongs to the luxury hotel chain of Jumeirah
International, Madinet Jumeirah (hotel and business center) and Wadi (entertainment
park resort) were the early players of business activities in this region, the
region is in high demand among tourist resort investors at present. Palm Island,
the third biggest man-made Island of the world, is off Jumeirah coast.
The beach is earmarked exclusively for women on certain days of the week. Water
Sports is also a much sought after entertainment in Jumeirah Beach.
The Jumeirah Beach Club, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Wild Wadi Water Park, Al Qasr
- Madinat Jumairah, Dar Al Masyaf Villas - Madinat Jumeirah, Mina A'Salam -
Madinat Jumeirah etc. are the few places where you can find all facilities from
luxurious accommodation to sports/recreational activities.
