Hanoi Parks and Gardens

Vietnam - Hoi An - Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City - Hue
Mother Nature is beautiful, bountiful and vast. Her forests, mountains are all gift to mankind for a healthy and safe life. But owing to rapid industrialization and man's military conquests the green patch on the face of our planet is receding at an alarming rate and warning us of an early extinction. The Parks and Garden's therefore are miniature forms of Nature's serenity, calmness and beauty.

Every city has their own share of parks and gardens. Some parks are constructed in memory of someone while some are made for purposes like conservation and research like the national parks and sanctuaries. The gardens too can be dedicated ones and generally aim at the beautification of a locality and also for conducting scientific studies like the Botanical Gardens. They are also retreats from the rapidly increasing concrete jungle.

The capital city of Hanoi similarly has some of the beautiful national parks and gardens in Vietnam.

After the devastating war, the Tourism of Vietnam took special measures to transform certain portions of the capital city and other cities into landscape gardens and demarcate certain areas as national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. While the parks enhanced the beauty of an urban neighborhood, the National parks were dedicated to the conservation of the wildlife and diverse flora and fauna.

The Parks and Garden's in Hanoi are not made for an ornamental purpose but they are devoted to a social cause too. They have an aesthetic influence on the people. They are the only places where you can rejuvenate your tired self. The lush foliage and soft greenery all around you are treat to your eyes. The National Parks on the other hand make for the best home to the wild animals assuring them a safe life but in their own natural surroundings.

In general, the parks and gardens account for a large number of facilities which includes playgrounds, sporting areas and special enclosures for plants used for the purpose of display and study.

The Parks and Garden's in Hanoi are therefore refuge for the common folk of the capital city from the hands of rapid urbanization. They are the symbols of Hanoi's natural beauty and are most precious assets to the country.
