Surfing in Hoi An

Located on the South China Sea, Hoi An has very clean white sandy beaches with pristine water, sprawling over a vast area. The deep blue seas, pristine water, bright sunshine, cool sea breeze, and sloping sea floor makes the perfect stage for several water sports that takes place in Hoi An. Among many adventurous sea sports, surfing in Hoi An is very popular. It is not practiced by the locals but also equally popular among the tourists.

The China beach is very famous for surfing. Sprawling over a large area, this long beach stretches down to the Cua Dai beach at Hoi An. The beach became famous in 1992 after hosting Vietnam’s first International Surfing Competition. In the past few years Vietnam has become very famous for kite surfing as well. Hoi An beach also has favorable conditions for surfing.

The best time to go for surfing is during the winter season. The surfing season starts from October and continues till April and at times even May. If you are interested in surfing, then finding a shop that sells or rents surfing equipments will be hard. There are several hotels that lend these equipments as well as provide trainings to those who are new in this game.
