Martial art in Hue was first introduced properly by O Sensei Ngo Dong, who founded the Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts in 1965. The Grandmaster skillfully injected the fervor of the sport into the life of the natives and a whole new philosophy of art of living was discovered by the locals. He developed an alternative form of the art named Cuong Nhu and was very gleefully accepted by the people of Hue. Martial arts in Hue acts as an ideological touchstone for the people of Hue. many Martial art schools have been set up where the number of disciples is always in the increasing mode. It has helped the society to resurrect the wear and tears it has been facing. The art has definitely helped to help those who have had a sorry tale to tell of their past.

In the recent years Martial arts have graduated from being an art to an attraction for the tourists as the skills displayed during the performances allures every mind. The skill and visual appeal of the performers truly brings a touch of calmness to the bothered mind.
