Cau Ngu festival, Vietnam, is a traditional and one of the most popular of the festivals in Vietnam celebrated annually on the 12th day of the first month of a lunar year. This festival belongs to the lower Thai Duong Village in Huong Hai Commune of Huong Dien Diatrict. This festival is celebrated in memory of the Truong Quy Cong who was the village tutelary genie and had come to the village from the North to settle. His alias is Truong Thieu and he taught the locals how to fish and trade junks.

Cau Ngu festival in Vietnam is celebrated in both the upper and lower parts of the village. The entire village together pay offering and worship to Truong Quy Cong in Cau Ngu Festival, one of the prominent Vietnam festivals & events.

The main event in Cau Ngu festival, Vietnam, is the fish worshipping ceremony. This ceremony is held late at night when the people of the village pray for peace and the abundance of peace in their future lives.

Certain games are also organized during Cau Ngu Festival, Vietnam, but after every three years. These games represent sea fishing activities such as fish- catching game and net-casting game. Among these the net casting game is a form of entertainment as well featuring several rituals to commemorate the merits of Truong Quy Cong, the village tutelary genie. These games are followed by rowing skiff which is a favorite sport of the villagers.
