The Perfume Pagoda (Huong Tich) festival, Vietnam is held from the 6th day of the first month to the end of the third month according to the lunar calendar. The main Pefume Pagoda festival is held between the 15th to the 20th day of the second month. On the 6th day of the first month the people sail the royal barge. One of the major festivals in Vietnam, it is held in three places, Huong Tich, Tuyet Son and Long Van. People flock to this place during the Perfume Pagoda (Huong Tich) festival, Vietnam not only for religious reasons but also to absorb the natural beauty and national artifacts that surround the pagoda. The Perfume Pagoda and the Huong Tich are situated in the Ha Tay province about 70 kilometers from Hanoi, Vietnam and is one of the famous Buddhist pilgrimage sites in northern Vietnam. The pagoda with its group of caves is an architectural splendor created by both human and nature. Huong Son is believed to be Buddha’s Heaven and the place to worship Bodhisattva Kwan Yin. From Hanoi, Vietnam one can travel to Ha Dong to Van Dinh to Huong Son or from the town of Phu Ly to Duc Port in Yen Vi.
