the hotel was new , but the area around was under mass construction. the rooms very very small.i was forced to ask for the suite! & they charge 17euro for evry amentety ,suna, steam, turkish bath, gym ! they should post that there is a fee & not free as that does matter to us when we decide.
the desk was frendly & helpful.

| "Perfect location for all major points of interest particularily if you like to explore on foot. Very good and informative front desk staff not to mention friendly. Dining area a little dull but for quick breakfast not a problem. Would stay there again." |

| "Reception/ welcome was very good; helpful & friendly staff. Breakfast Restaurant good, but area needs to have clear no smoking area. Waiters, etc very willing but not good understanding of english, only problem was lack of willing to open 24 hour bar after midnight! Room was small for 3 people with not enough storage space; although the bathroom was a good size.
Rooftop pool/ cafe very good, but be aware that this is often used for parties/ receptions and therefore if you're a light & early sleeper make sure you're not on the 6th (top)floor (we were)
Spa area very good, with good treatments.
Fitness suite very good, but hotel residents should not have to pay extra for this.
Location really good - 1 minute walk to rail(& tram) station/ 5 minutes from port area/ 5 minutes from topkapi and blue mosque.
Overall royal orsep was good & would return
Asiarooms.com very good service & helpful - thankyou" |

| "A fairly decent hotel for its price. Truly a great location: in the heart of the 'old town' and within walking distance from major tourist attractions. It was worth staying there." |

| "The Orsep Royal is a modern hotel in the Sirkeci District of Istanbul. The location is very central to old Istanbul and very close to tramway & Ferrys. The room was small but clean. Excellent turkish breakfast in restaurant was included in room price. I also made use of the swimming pool & sauna at no extra cost.
A few minor negatives. front desk staff were not at all friendly. Water temp in shower was hard to control, resulting in near scalding. mini-bar fridge didn't get cold, carpet in room could use shampooing. Also the air filters probably need cleaning because plenty of dust came in through the ventilation ducts. I stayed in March 2007 and there is major subway construction going on nearby. The double pane glass windows helped with th noise but lite sleepers should be aware. I got a wonderful price from asiarooms $58/night for a double. I doubt that rate would be available at all times of the year, but it was a real bargain for such a nice hotel." |
