The hotel was built in 1710 and is the original marriage house in Gretna Green. Situated in the heart of Gretna Green the hotel is the ideal base to explore South West Scotland and the Lake District. The Historic City of Carlisle is only a 10 minute drive and offers plenty to see and do. The hotel grounds also accommodate the Gretna Blacksmiths Shop with offers varied gifts and is renowned for its famous marriages for over centuries.

The hotel offers a modern and contemporary style in each of the 100 en-suite bedrooms, with tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and wireless internet provided in each room.
