"Very good value"

"Second visit and I would go back. Compared to other hotels in New York it is great. Location is not really a problem. Nice walk to either midtown, the park or Madison upper east side. If you are coming in by car it's amazing. Take FDR and get off at 62nd street. The hotel is right there and indoor parking is $20.00 for 24 hours. Nice breakfast on the roof with a beautiful view. Nice size room for New York. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. "

" My husband and I visited New York and stayed at the Bentley hotel April, we found the hotel very modern, and the room had fantastic views and was very clean. There is a good bathroom. the free coffee and breakfast was much appreciated the only downside was that public transport to other attractions was quite a long walk from the hotel but we found that the cabs were quite cheap to use. i would recommend this hotel without hesitation. There were quite a couples there for the shopping, theatre and so on. The free breakfast of coffee, bagels and juice was useful when we did not want a heavy meal. The hotel was slightly off the beaten tourist track (though convenient for movie theatres and Bloomindales)but taxis were not a problem and there were several convenient buses outside the door. I did not want any other services from my hotel so at the price I was perfectly satisfied and would certainly go there again. "

"My husband and I have stayed at The Bentley three seperate times now, for business. It's not that we enjoy the hotel so much as it's a good price for Ny. It is a good bargain hotel and we got a very good deal for the last time. Our rooms have been completely different all three times, always quite spacious. Have had a great view of the bridge, also have had a room with a not so great view but instead was given a suite so there was even more room, two t.v's, sofa, etc. We like to cab around NY, or walk for blocks and blocks so the location doesn't bother us but it would be out of the way for some. I enjoy the interior design, modern, chocolate and white in the lobby but the furnishings are getting trashed very quickly. The rooms are holding up a bit better. I always find them cleaned well and the neutral, warm colors are pleasing. Marble bathrooms are nice, in good condition. I agree with other reviewers, the concierge really friendly and helpful. However I actually don't expect anything from them so I don't get disappointed. Although there are a few nice people the service is very basic. Check out the rooftop for the view but don't expect much from your bagel and juice. They could really fix it up and have a beautiful spot up there. All the experience above could recommend someone who looks for a well worth budget hotel in NYC. "

"We brilliant this hotel, the Bentley can't be beat. First off, it's very clean and modern. Yes, there is a gas station at the bottom of the hotel on the backside, but hey, the place used to be an office building. If you are renting a car while in NYC, you will appreciate not having to fight the cabbies to the westside for gas. Next, the hotel has a great view of the East River and Roosevelt Island. For the best view, simply request a higher-up room when you reserve. Let the reservationist know that you want to be on the southeast or south west side of the building. Forget about all of the complaining other reviewers had about the rooftop restaurant. Hey, you are in NYC, why are you dying to eat inside your hotel?? Duh! Have the Continental breakfast in the morning and venture out for lunch and dinner. There is a complimentary cappucino bar in the hotel lobby for your caffeine cravings. I never had a problem with the staff on the 10+ times that I have stayed at the Bentley. My room was always cleaned by housekeeping in a timely manner, and the towels, soaps, etc. were replenished daily. You can walk a couple streets west from this hotel and be anywhere in the city you want to go - Park Ave, Central Park. Plus, there is a movie theater less than a half block away. Stop your complaining about the Bentley. It's a great place to stay without spending so much money that you can't enjoy the New York restaurants and shopping."

" My room was great with a view of the skyline and was spacious and clean. if you are paying for the hotel yourself or trying to save your business some money - this is a great place to stay to get a good deal. Loved the 21st floor breakfast room - what an incredible view! I drove to NYC for the weekend and the parking garage is pretty well priced for manhattan ($20/day). Overall the location is out of the way but it suited my needs for a nice, clean place that was very well priced. Well worth and good deal. "

"A very pleasant hotel! we stayed one night and found the hotel to be pretty decent. the location is not the most convenient but it is close to the Central Park considering what i paid for it was worth the money.. Clean and comfortable rooms and we didn't have any problems with noise considering we were above a petrol station and next to an animal shelter. The restaurant on the 21st floor had wonderful views of the Manhattan skyline. We had no complaints about the location as it was only a 20 min walk to Central Park and cab fares are reasonable if you want to go downtown. Very impressed considering we paid so little to stay in New York!"

" We stayed at the Bentley while we were in New York on vacation. I booked online so I wasn't sure what I would get. I wasn't disappointed at all. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Free breakfast was nice, and staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is great, too. For families with kids there's a wonderful playground right across the street. I would not hesitate to stay there again the next time I'm in New York."

"My husband and I arrived with our adult son and daughter-in-law. I made reservations via the internet, but were given a room with one bed. When I informed the man at the desk that we needed two beds and showed him my confirmation, he gladly changed the room. The other staff was equally accommodating - in getting a cab, extra towels and ice. The room was clean and more than adequate. The bathroom could use an exhaust fan. The continental breakfast was juice, coffee and bagels - nothing great - but the view is terrific, especially at night. Nice restaurants on 1st Ave. We would go back."
