"The French colonial style was a surprise, but very appealing. There were 2 floors above the ground floor, but as there was no lift it may not suit all disabled people. The rooms were extremely spacious and well furnished in period style. I quite liked the authentic 30's telephone and stylish bathroom. The only critcism of the bathroom was that there was no shower, however the bath taps were fitted with a shower attachment. Although we hardly put the television on, when we did, the BBC World signal was very poor and at times unwatchable, however there were about 12 other satellite stations to choose from. The town wakes up early and from about 06:30 you become aware of traffic sounding their horns on the adjacent roads. I believe this could be a problem in any hotel in the area, and not confined either to this hotel, or indeed our particular room. I did not find it a big issue and it did not disturb us much, but it is difficult to explain to those who have never visited Vietnam about the number of motorcycles and their use of horns. The main dining room was superb with a wide range of foods to choose from. For convenience and atmosphere though, we chose to eat in Larry's Bar in the old wine cellar underneath the house. This includes a lounge and games room and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The location of the hotel is superb with easy access to Dalat centre some 5 minutes walk away, and at the end of a long lake providing an enjoyable 4-5 mile walk if the mood takes you. The hotel staff were very helpful with the provision of a limousine and driver to visit some local attractions especially if you want to make up a customised tour rather than the set packages. A ride in the local cable car is interesting and enlightening. I found the service and attention to detail top class and would have no hesitation returning to this hotel if I visit Dalat again."

"Magnificent place, with good service, although I was expecting a fitness centre, and more lively bar and restaurants. Great staff!"

"A real gem in a most beautiful location. It was very quiet with very few people around. The service and food in the restaurant were excellent"

"Even though climate in Dalat is excellent, air-conditioning in rooms would be a plus."

"Beautiful hotel - good breakfasts! Shame it was guite empty while we were there which meant there wasn't so much atmosphere. Would definitely recommend."

"An ideal hide-away place for couples, although I enjoyed my stay by myself too. A very romantic, classy atmosphere, which really makes you feel you are staying at a palace. Highly recommended."

"Very classy and spacious. The gardens were good for a relaxing sit down with views of the lake. The in-room breakfasts were superb. Definitely for those who like charm and character above modern conveniences"

"No aircon, no elevator and no pool, but nothing to complain. Cool air coming in from the windows and can feel the old time's resort style. Also Hotel stuff were very kind and nice. "
