"Ask for a room on the 'quiet' side overlooking the lake on arrival to reduce the worst of the traffic noise from outside. While the Daewoo didn't measure up to many other 5* hotels, the staff try their best and the facilities are good. The room was clean and functional with fast web access and a very comfortable big bed. The associated gym next door provides towels, shorts and T-shirts for working out and the pool (while only solar heated) is maintained throughout the year. "

| "I remmember staying here last year with my boyfriend for about 3-4 nights and actually did not have a good exprience. The hotel seems to be the best one in the area which great view over the lake and the park. Of course, lakes are everywhere in Hanoi though. The swiming pool and the garden were the highlights, the outdoor dining beside the pool was a great experience. However, there were some unpleasant things that made our stay more memorable. The first thing was the gabbage and nilon bags spreaded at the backside of the hotel near the apartment block, it made Deawoo nothing different to an 1 star hotel. The second thing was the magnetic lock was ruin, i remmember we needed to call the hotel staff to fix it and open the door for us at least twice. The third thing was the lock at the bathroom. Whenever i went to the bathroom and forget to close it, i locked myself inside and needed to call my bf to open it for me. The last thing, which made the stay worse, were some mosquitos wandering freely in the room!!!.

"After a 5 day Charity Trek (for Alzheimer's)in Pu Luong Nature Resort and staying in Homestays the Daewoo was Heaven on Earth! Yes, it is located out of town but this is a plus - it's away from the constant horn blasting. The choice of 7 different types of restaurants is supurb, the rooms and especially the beds were just right. The Spa was just what my body needed and I certainly made use of this excellent service. The staff were most helpful and extremely pleasant. Yes I will stay there again."

"I totally recommend this hotel. The Japanese GRO who assisted me with my check in on the Executive Floor was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the local staff were only too happy to help also. The food is excellent, especially the buffet breakfast and La Paix Italian Restaurant, where I had the pleasure of inspecting the kitchens (don't ask!) and meeting the new Italian chef Maurizio. All in all, a first class hotel. My only complaint was the airport transfer price of US$40 ONE WAY...OUCH!!!"

"Beautiful hotel with great facilities, the pool area is terrific. Good restaurants in the hotel. They upgraded us to the business floor with private lounge, breakfast and happy hour at no charge. I would strongly recommend this hotel."
