| "This hotel was really set up for business people, there was no tour desk and not much help (or map) on where to go for anything. There is not a lot around in the way of restaurants or useful places for tourists. Smoking in the hotel restaurant and foyer (near the breakfast area) was annoying for non-smokers." |

| "I only stayed here 1 night but the experienced of the comfort, facilities was great. The location which was a bit out of the tourist spot, which didn't really stop me, was the only drawback. The restaurant meals were great, large meals, and great service. Waking up and looking out the window over the park was fantastic because of all the local people doing their different types of morning exercise." |

| "Our stay was marred by the integrity of one of your hotel workers!
On the (early) morning we departed he was demanding that we pay a further USD5 for the restaurant. We stated that we had paid our bill in full the night before and that there was nothing more to be paid since we had not used the bar fridge or purchased any further items from the hotel. He insisted that we still had more to pay - when I enquired as to what it was for he said it was for 2 glasses of wine! I asked for a signed receipt and knew that we had drunk no wine that night - he wasnt able to present one however still demanded the money.
We refused and left!
His dishonesty tainted our experience of this hotel!

| "The hotel is the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The location was very good for the old quarter including the markets. However, we did not like the area surrounding the hotel - there were no restaurants that we would eat at and it was impossible to walk on most of the dirty footpaths as they were crammed with goods for sale or cooking braziers and locals eating. This meant walking on extremely busy roads that were difficult to cross with few traffic lights to assist. The sky was grey due to the heavy polution. It was difficult to find a bank that would change our money. Some local men use walls as public urinals and the stench was terrible. I would stay in the same hotel if it were in a different location. We ate in the hotel and even spent some time watching movies in our room. I prefer other areas in Vietnam and would not visit Hanoi again." |

| "The Galaxy was okay. Just an average place. Not bad and not really good. The staff gave us incorrect information concerning our trip planning. We were told to talk to the morning staff when we check in the evening about making train ticket reservations, but the morning staff told us they could not help us. The rooms are a bit small, but it looks like they updated the bathroom. The breakfast was decent. " |

| "The two rooms I occupied on different nights were large, well fitted out and very clean.
Only problem was that too many people wanted to use the one lift, all at once, and it was quite small. Another lift may be useful for peak times!
The food was good in the street cafe, and the room service meal was also good.
I would have no problem recommending this as a good place to stay." |

| "Excellent friendly service. Rooms are adequate and the breakfast buffet merely passable. Seems to appeal mostly to tour groups. Good location just outside of old town." |
