"The Hong Ngoc hotel's location is very close to the Hoan Kiem Lake in the middle of the old town of Hanoi. The hotel is clean, but the room we had was very very small. No room to unpack your suitcase. Breakfast was asian style and not quite my taste. The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"The location was great for what we wanted to do and the service was outstanding. It was a bit deserted at the time we went but they went out of their way to accommodate us. Really good for budget travelers who want a bit of comfort."

"The staff not to helpfull, also at this price you would expect to be able to make tea and coffee in the room.It is a great location, but please be aware,if like me you have a vietnamese partner, you will be unable to share a room and have to pay $25 dollars to buy an extra room."
