"I only stayed at the Nikko for one night after a two week trip in Vietnam. It was lovely to stay in such a nice hotel before flying home (especially as it has a pool to relax in). The flat were all extremely helpful and accomodating. Whilst this is not really a Vietnamese experience it is a great hotel and definitely worth a visit if you want a top class international hotel."

"My friends and I had a very good experience in this hotel. There were four of us (all women) and we booked 2 adjoining double rooms. Except for the initial mix up on the adjoining rooms when we got to our floor, everything went without a hitch. Our rooms and bathrooms were big and comfortable, and were equipped with all the standard room amenities and toiletries (hair dryer, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, combs, sewing kits, etc). I was especially amused with the exercise machine (a stepper-like contraption) that was provided in every room. I've been to many hotels in different parts of the world, but I've never stayed in one that provided an exercise machine in every room. (Not that we used it...) We were very pleased also with the helpful lady in the business center who arranged our city tour for us. But the biggest factor in our high rating of this hotel was their accommodating our request to use their gym facilities before our midnight flight. This way, we had the benefit of freshening up without having to pay for an extra night. If I may make a suggestion to the hotel: allow guests to use the lobby wi-fi free of charge. In this day and age, this seems pretty basic. You may want to extend wi-fi coverage to the rooms as well. With devices getting smaller and smaller (ie. iPhones, iPods and Blackberries), the LAN connections provided in the rooms may not be enough. Three cheers for Nikko! I'd definitely give this hotel a green light if a friend asks my recommendation. "

"The staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were good and typical of a 5 star business hotel. The pool area lacked in character, but it was fine for a refreshing dip after pounding the pavements of Hanoi. We would stay again. "

"Great Location. Price is reasonable. Breakfast is also good taste but not so many choices. This hotel is value for the money. "

"The hotel is located within a 15 min walking distance to the old quarters and other must see places. And the walk to these places is pretty nice...past lakes and a whole host of shops. Staff in the hotel are professional (not overly friendly or warm) and the rooms are comfortable."

"Excellent five star hotel. Quiet location, out of city centre but only cheap taxi ride away. Breakfast and evening buffet very good. Recommended."

"The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. A choice of restaurants available. The Bistro at the front of the hotel was particularly good value, and excellent food choice. "

"The receptionists are very polite, nice and helpful. They speak good English(a plus point as communication is made easier). Rooms are spacious, comes with internet broadband, complimentary shoe-shine service, and a stepper for those who likes to exercise in private. Bathroom is spacious and clean. Housekeeping dept does a great job as towels are changed everyday although we opt for them not to. Food served at breakfast lacks variety, but the Chinese Restaurant serves delicious chinese cuisines at dinner. Though costly, but it's worth the money paid. I would highly recommend Nikko Hanoi to travellers. "

"We had a pleasant stay at the Nikko Hotel. The staff is friendly and trying to help. We had a complaint about the breakfast because the hotel was fully booked and some guest were advised to have breakfast in a big dining room (only large tables were available which you had to share with other guests). The usual breakfast room was nice and not as crowded but it was troublesome to get a table there because the staff refused to let us in. They told us that we had a group booking (which we had not) and that is why we would need to eat in the other breakfast room. Anyway, after some discussion we were able to enjoy our breakfast in the 'nicer' room. We booked a scooter at the reception and everything worked just fine. Overall I recommed the Hotel Nikko. "
