"The hotel was in a good location with very friendly staff. The room was clean and modern. The bed was very hard however that seems to be the standard in asia. Room had a nice bathroom, good air conditioning system and lots of space. I would stay here again however I would probably try a cheaper hotel to see if I could save some money. For Vietnam, I think it is a bit overpriced."

"Great location, staff very friendly and helpful, we had ran out of money and all the ATM machines were not working in the area, so the girl behind the desk got the porter to take me to the ANZ bank on his scooter, so I could pay for a meal we had, which wasn't even at their restaurant, I was very impressed. The only negative was that the breakfasts were ordinary. Overall it was a good place to stay and I would stay there again."

"A really comfortable stay in the heart of Hanoi. The hotel staff were friendly and willing to help. A good hearty breakfast set us up for the day and a restaurant in the hotel provided good (but a little expensive) food. We thought the hotel overall was good value for money."

| "My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights during our tour of vietnam (south to north). The rooms were very clean, comfortable and up to western standards. Despite its location (which is very noisy), the hotel rooms are very quiet as they have sound proof windows.
The best thing about this hotel was what happened after we left. We left for Qui Nhon for a 5 day stay and forgot our extra camera battery and charger at the Quoc Hoa. We had didn't discover this until the second to last day at the Life Resort in Qui Nhon (also very beautiful). I had our hotel contact the Quoc Hoa and look for the battery and charger. Not only did they find it. but they they forwarded to the next hotel we would be staying at in Saigon free of charge within 2 days!
We were very impressed with this added touch. We will definitely stay here again and recommend that others do so as well.

Unfriendly and unwelcoming staff. Rooms are standard,
but by no means up to the standard you would expect in south east asia. A disappointment to say the least, not representative of the photos posted on the website.

"The hotel is located exactly within the Old Quarter (OQ). If this is your first trip to Hanoi and you intend to explore the OQ by foot, book your Halong Bay short-trip and street-shopping, this is it. It is sparking clean and spotless, and I particular like its restroom and its numerous cable channels. I also believe it is the best hotel in the OQ if you look around and ask your tour guide. One more advantage to its location, it is within minutes you can reach Minh's Jazz Club where it is the ultimate jazz venue for Hanoi, with its unique and pure play."

"The hotel location is great and the staff are very nice. The room was not as described and was tiny. We had our 14 month old with us and there was no room to set up her travel cot. We had to push the bed over to make room and had almost no space to walk. Our daughter had to sit on the bed or we had to leave the room for her to play. There was no extra sitting area. The bathroom was very clean and of Western standards. Overall the hotel was very clean, it is just the exceptionally small room size. When we asked to upgrade they tried to charge us almost double, which at that price we could have stayed at the Melia Hanoi for less."

"After the hustle and bustle of the streets of hanoi, this is a welcome haven! The staff are very welcoming and courteous and extremely helpful, making sure everything is as you need it. The rooms were very comfortable, a great location and nice breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again."
