"We found the Kimdo everything we would have liked. They upgraded us to a suite for the length of our stay and everyone was so pleasant. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the hardwood floors are a plau (we have stayed in three different rooms now on return visits). If you like your bed on the softer side you should ask for a topper when you make your reservation, keeping in mind that the Vietnamese traditionally sleep on thin woven mats on polished hardwood bases. We found the bed a bit hard the first night but they rushed in with a 2 inch foam pad to keep us happy. We just ask for it now when we book and everything is very comfortable. This is also a good idea with any hotel in Vietnam. Breakfast (included) is a banquet which has something for everyone, no matter what country they are from. We settled on the fresh pawpaw and yoghurt and dragon fruit. Omletes or cereal or any number of japanese or Korean specialties [if you like sushi or Kimchee for breakfast]. It is on the finest street in Siagon and there are many nice resturants, markets and shopping pleasures within easy walks. The river is about two blocks away and tours leave by boat from there if you wish. It has made Vietnam a delight for us [and we have seen some of the rougher corners of the country]. I highly recommend Easy Rider tours if you are in Dalat. Contact Mr Xuan (Swan) for guided car or motorcycle tours.tel zero nine one eight two zero five five three. He knows this country like the back of his hand and every door seems to open for him. His English is also good. Enjoy. We did."

"I've stayed in Kimdo Hotel for 3 days in October. The room I've booked is premium deluxe which just cost a little more than the standard room, but the size was much larger than the standard room according to the floor plan. The location was very convenient right in the city centre. The breakfast was good providing wide variety of food. However, don't expect the reception could assist you much in touring around as their English was quite poor. Anyway, Kimdo was value for money. "

"I stayed in Kimdo "Super Deluxe" room for 6 days on Oct 2007. Overall, everything went well.. Room was big and most important clean. The room that we stayed in was having laminate flooring so there was not carpet smell... Security was consider good as there was an additional security door that required additional scanning of room card when we came out of the lift area. Breakfast was normal international buffet style.. I had recommended a few friends to this hotel and will con't to recommend to the rest. Irene 25 Oct 07"

"I am very please with the hotel with regard to the room size and layout. It is very clean and comfortable and the bathroom is adequately stocked with toiletries. The location is also very good as it is within walking distance to the shopping centres, shops and restaurants.I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Ho Chi Minh. "

"Not up to my expectation..espcially booking a super delux pacakage room. The bed was awfully hard.. two single bed combine to give u a queen size. Location is perfect in the central of HCM.Not a bad hotel but just not to my expected standard..."

"We are very glad to book our hotel thru Asiarooms. Kimdo Royal Hotel is very convenient, walking distance to Ben Thanh Market, Dong Khoi & many shopping areas, room is very clean, staff are very courteous and helpful. My wife was pleasantly surprised when the Hotel sent her a beautiful bouquet of roses on her birthday. The breakfast spread are very good, too. Strongly recommend to try Kimdo, will definitely stay there when visiting Vietnam again. Richard & Nancy Chew Singapore"

"Being our first trip to HCMC, I found it really hard trying to choose a good hotel in a good location. I went through and chose the ones I thought sounded ok, and then went through hundreds of reviews online to choose one. I ended up choosing Kimdo, and it could not have been a better choice!! It is in a perfect location, close to Ben Tanh markets and heaps of sights. The market stall/shops on the way to the Ben Tanh markets are fantastic!!! It is right next to a shopping centre/supermarket, which was fantastic for buying our minibar essentials (water/beer/chips etc). There are a couple of great restaurants in the little street opposite the hotel...Pho 24 is fantastic, aswell as Lemongrass (we ate there twice!) The only downside I could find to the hotel is that almost no-one (even reception staff) speak English, so that was a bit difficult..and I would not book any tours through the hotel...The Cu Chi Tunnel tour was $50 through the hotel, but we paid $5 through Sinh Cafe. Other than that, the hotel is fantastic, great location, huge breakfast spread! I would definately stay there again!"

"The cardkey is not unique. I was in the bed when someone opened my door. I was too late to see who. I complain on the duty manager and he able to say is that maybe some guest accidentally opened the wrong door which is mine! So the keys are not unique. Worst the manager does not offer any apologies. Nor he assured to check the video capture by the camera which is installed in the hallway even I ask for it. No answer when I ask what assurance that it isn't a real intrusion situation. All he can offer is that I do a door clap (it is like the door chain)."

"Stayed here with another couple for only one night, on our last day in HCMC. The location is great, close to all the major tourist attractions, but do try to venture out beyond the hotel to discover what the city has to offer. The hotel is pretty standard, the only exceptions I would say are the pool and the massage facilities, which were not up to a standard I would expect for a 3-4 star hotel. We were also asked to tip the massage ladies separately, something we didn't expect we would have to do in a hotel."
