My husband and I were very impressed by the staff at the reception counter and those who serve breakfast, who could actually remember what coffee my husband has asked for the previous morning. The swimming pool and roof top bar are very nice and the service is very good too. Unfortunately, the taxi(s) that are parked right outside the hotel always refuse to put on the metre. The day when we left for the airport, we emphasized to the hotel doorman that we want a taxi that runs on the metre. The doorman replied to us that the price should be Dong 1,110,000 (which is 40% higher than the metre fare)and then he put us on a taxi that refused to start the metre. The taxi driver said to us in Vietnamese which seemed to mean that the doorman has agreed with him that a fixed price has been agreed for him by the doorman. My husband and I felt very annoyed and we were sure that the hotel doormen must have collaborated with the taxis in front of the hotel. We did not have any problems with other taxis that we hailed on the streets.

| "My wife really enjoyed her birthday present of a one night's stay at the Majestic. The hotel staff went out of their way to make the beginning of our honeymoon special. I told her I would take her there again the next time her birthday fell on the same time I was in Viet Nam. " |

| "Overall an excellent hotel, beautiful old-school building with all the mod cons, good location (walking distance to high and low price restaurants and markets-and on the river of course) and attentive and professional service. And the massive and comfortable beds.
Stayed in two different Riverview rooms, one in the old wing and one in the new wing. Both very good and similar, main differences are the new wing room had a bigger TV, while the old wing room had a bigger bathroom.
We went on a cycling tour for fours days and the hotel were more than happy to mind our bulky luggage for us until we came back.
Highly recommend for luxury travellers. " |
