| "The Hotel was a perfect choice and we are very happy we have choose it. We will recommend that hotel to all our friends coming to Ho Chi Minh City.
The security at the hotel is very good but they should be very carefull with Vietnamesse guests of the hotel and make sure that they treat them with respect.

| "Location of the hotel was good, near from center of the city. The swimming pool located on the roof of the hotel was OK with good scenery. Amenities equipped at the room was good.
But, the size of the room and bath room was somewhat smaller, and poor dining facilities disappointed me.
The price for the room is somewhat expensive than any other Asian countries.. " |

| "This hotel was a way out of the main city centre and was fairly hard to get anywhere without using taxis, especially for Western travellers as it's not really that safe using public transport!
We found out by reading the blurb in the hotel room that there was in fact a free shuttle running into the centre but was NOT told this by the concierge, and they didn't really speak English well; overall it was quite hard to converse with the staff.
The food in the hotel was way overpriced and not at all nice. They would have done better sticking to their own cuisine rather than trying to put a Western spin on everything.
The room smelt of stale smoke even though we specifically requested a non-smoking room. The whole hotel needed drastically updating and painting. The pictures make it look a lot better than it actually is!
The hotel offers tours to the main attractions in the area for four times the price of the backpacker area companies.

| "Very good hotel. Professional staff at front desk and prompt service from Housekeeping. Had drinks in the lobby bar and was looked after very well with a selection of complimentary tasty canapes.
Location not in the heart of District One but still a good spot nontheless.
Would stay here again." |

| "The Sofitel is in a good location--only a short hop to all the restaurants and sites to see (Post Office, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame). The staff were all polite and helpful---and the breakfast was quite good. We enjoyed it." |

| "Everything was satisfactory other than the fact that the room smelled. Our pillows and comforters smelled like mildew and the room smelled like smoke. When we requested that they exchange our pillows and comforters, they did so immediately and the replacements were fine. The Club level lounge was fantastic with excellent snacks and a much better cocktail assortment than I typically find." |
