Hoi An Beach Resort

"Stayed here 5 days with my husband and children aged 7 & 9. We all loved it and would liked to have stayed longer. We stayed in a river view villa which was large and the bathroom was enormous. The pools were lovely and short stroll to the beach just across the road made this perfect for a relaxing break. Eating at the hotel was expensive, but there were plenty of outside options in short walking distance. There was a free shuttle bus to HoiAn, but taxis were also plentiful and cheap. I would definetly stay here again."

"Stayed here three nights in July 2009. Good hotel, one of the best in the area. Good facilities with pool's, free internet and good restaurant. Across the road from the beach and on the river. Quite a distance from the main hub of town. At least 15-20 minutes. They provide a shuttle bus which runs every half hour to one hour which means you have to time your day somewhat. Otherwise taxi's are available from the hotel or from town when returning. Found television stations not up too standard, only one movie channel in english and sports channel/CNN. Cooking school is run by the hotel and is very professional, not as fun as doing it somewhere else. "

"We enjoyed our stay. The free WiFi and shuttle to town are good features. Staff are very friendly. The evening floating lanterns display is charming. Our upstairs River view villa was lovely, including a newly renovated bathroom but had its view mostly obscured by palm trees."

"The service was immaculate as seen through all service touch points- the frontline staff, the restaurant staff and even the chamber maids (even when they could not understand me!). During my stay at the hotel, the hotel was undergoing some renovations and as such, most guests (including myself) avoided the second swimming pool as there were many construction workers watching around. However, just across the road on the beach itself, there is a nice area that has been condoned off by the hotel with nice chairs to sit and relax by the sea. It was difficult, however, to obtain towels from the swimming pool to bring to the beach though as there were limited supply and the staff will look at you warily. However, do not rent the bike just outside the hotel entrance. I am not sure if the man is part of the hotel but he tries to rip us off (USD 10), did not provide much help in teaching to use the bike and tries to rip us off again when we returned the bike. "
