"HoiAn Lotus was fabulous! Very clean and comfortable but also very beautiful hotel and excellent value for money. What you see in the photos is what you get. The staff did all they could to help up and make it a great stay. The location was great because it is half way between the beach and the town. Friends who stayed at the beach felt too far from the action and those in the centre of town thought it was too noisy so this location was perfect. We could ride a bike 2km to either direction to get to beach or town, go by motorbike or taxi for $1 US or use the free hotel bus. We thoroughly recommend! "

"We stayed at the Lotus for 4 nights over the 2008 Tet holiday period and were very impressed. Our room was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay and excellent value. Its only shortcomings are the small pool, which only gets sun for a few hours of the day and the fact that, like other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam, the walls are paper-thin and don't keep out noise from outside. (Softer pillows would be nice too!)Breakfast was good and there are also two restaurants next door to the Lotus. A previous reviewer mentioned Mr Nuguyen's restaurant (on the right as you leave). We enjoyed our lunch there but actually preferred the other restaurant (on the left as you leave)."

"We enjoyed our one night stay at the Lotus. The room was clean and had all the basics one would like to find: refridgerator, tv with cable, bathtub and shower combo, remote control ac, comfortable beds and nice quality furniture and plenty of nice wood trim, french doors to a small balcony over looking a garden. The hotel itself has a tropical style, open two story building with lots of native wood and unique art, open air hallways and set among trees and gardens, lily ponds, and small arched bridges, much like one would find in a Japanese water garden. While there was a nice pool it was too cold to swim outside. The breakfast buffet was adequate, good coffee and a reasonably good selection of items both of western taste and asian. We especially liked the shuttle service to and from the old city center. Taxis service with three little kids is a pain, so a complimentary van service is always welcome. There was cozy open to air bar with a decent pool table and plenty of sofa and cushioned chairs for hanging out as well. Outside the area was safe and clean and as the building is set back from the road 75 ft., it is fairly quite. We would recommend this hotel. While it is not some 5 star it is well operated, clean and well priced."

"Fantastic, Staff wonderful, could not fault anything, in Australia it's equal to a 5 star hotel"

"We had no hot water in bathroom so we had our swim in shower and a bath in swiming pool as pool was hoter than shower. Bar was closed to early especialy if we are doing business, should go to at least 12 each night. No hair conditioner in shower only shampoo & could do with two larger fee bottles of water than the two very small ones supplied. Otherwise OK Fix the hot water & I would come back"

"A little far from the main town but a great hotel. The rooms were nice as was the pool. They offer a free shuttle service to and from town and the beach every hour. Breakfast was OK. A great value hotel!"

"Very good value. Clean. Great staff. situated between beach & town - although both further that you would expect. Not a lot to do near hotel in eve - but can go into town on free shuttle bus. Lovely pool. Breakfast - fine !"

"very charming hotel, with large rooms, comfortable lobby with billard and free internet between the beach and downtown hoi an, both accessible with bike Francois Desmartin, France"

"The Hoi An Lotus is a charming, boutique style hotel, tastefully designed, with a nice pool, billiard table/bar and helpful staff. The included breakfast is quite OK. It is a little way from town (on a fairly busy road) so requires use of their shuttle bus to access the old town's fantastic shops, tailors etc, and in the other direction, the beach, which is a longish walk, despite advice to the contrary! There are a number of good restaurants nearby."
