"This hotel is not good value for money. It is definetely not a 3-star property. It is noisy, the pool is very small and the rooms have old basic furnishings. The staff are friendly and the location on the beach are ok."

"We were very disappointed in the Hai Yen Hotel. The rooms were very musty, old and in need of renovation. Carpet in the room was very old and smelly. Hotel staff were not very friendly or helpful compared to the many other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. The staff mistakingly called our room at 3am one morning but there was no apology when we complained. Breakfast was also quite disappointing. The best part about the hotel was its close proximity to the beach. "

"The Hai Yen is an overpriced run down Hotel showing its age, the staff are unhelpfull and unfriendly, the buffet breakfast is left open with flies crawling all over it with 5 staff standing around watching. I would not recomend this Hotel to anyone and are very disapointed no one warned us about this Hotel before we stayed there. "

"Room was big but one could tell hotel is old. Everything in the hotel looks glommy including the reception area which strikes the first impression."
